The web hosting company CloudFlare has announced that it is launching CloudFlares Secure Cloud, an all-in-one solution that aims to prevent cybercrimious activity from using the services it provides.
The company has made the announcement on its website, saying that the platform is “a platform that can be used to encrypt web traffic and provide additional security for the user’s data.”
“This is something that’s been on the minds of a lot of people,” CloudFlarer’s CEO and co-founder, Joe Sullivan, told VentureBeat in a recent interview.
“It’s a really important point because it’s very hard to stop a virus from stealing data and selling it.
It’s almost impossible.”
What we’ve done is create a solution that will be very similar to what [security company] Sophos did back in the day, which was just like a service provider to protect the data that you were storing on your server.
“The security platform is intended to be used by anyone who needs to store sensitive data on the cloud, and is designed to allow people to quickly and easily share their data with CloudFlarers.”
Sophos and CloudFlower, as they are known, were the two biggest hosting companies in the world at the time of their bankruptcy. “
You’ll have your own unique key to decrypt that data, and the service will store that encryption key, which can be shared with the other CloudFlase customers.”
Sophos and CloudFlower, as they are known, were the two biggest hosting companies in the world at the time of their bankruptcy.
Sullivan says that CloudFlaring’s service was so successful that it was able to get a foothold in the US, allowing them to continue providing security services to sites such as eBay and Amazon.com.
“They had to do it from the ground up, and it was a very big deal, because it allowed them to do so many things, and there was no one else,” Sullivan told Venturebeat.
“Now they have an IPO, and they’re going to be able to make millions of dollars in a short period of time.”
CloudFlare Secure Cloud is available for desktop and mobile platforms, and has a free trial period.
The company is also offering a dedicated SSL/TLS certificate service that is designed for use with the platform.
Sophous Secure Cloud offers users the ability to encrypt data, but is only available in the United States.
Sullivan told me that it can also be used in other countries, but that Cloudflare has a very strict data-encryption policy.
