Amazon and Walmart have teamed up to launch an online retail business, which is expected to generate about $500 million in revenue by 2019.
The announcement comes as Amazon expands its online retail footprint in the United States, a major step toward expanding its business.
Walmart announced the same month that it would open a store in New York City, the first U.S. retailer to do so.
Amazon is also looking to expand its reach in Europe.
In October, Walmart announced it would start selling groceries in a new store in Paris, the second European city to join the Amazon empire.
